About
A national junk removal company built on local crews

What we are
Junk removal, without the runaround
Junk Koala is a junk removal and hauling company. Homeowners and businesses book with us, a professional local crew arrives, and the things you no longer want stop being your problem.
The company exists because getting rid of bulky items is genuinely harder than it should be. A sofa is too heavy for two people and too big for a car. A refrigerator can’t go out with the trash because its refrigerant has to be recovered by a certified technician first. The county transfer station is open exactly when you are at work. So the sofa sits in the garage for a year, and the garage stops being a garage.
What Junk Koala sells is the removal of all three obstacles at once: the labor, the truck, and knowing where each thing is legally allowed to go.

How the model works
One brand and one system, many local crews
Junk removal is a local business wearing a national coat. The parts that benefit from scale — booking, quoting, scheduling, support, standards — genuinely work better run once, centrally. The part that has to be local is the crew.
Disposal is the clearest example. Tipping fees, recycling infrastructure, which facility takes mattresses, whether a composting site is within range, what hours a city permits work in a commercial district — all of that changes from metro to metro. A local operator knows it. A national call center does not.
So Junk Koala runs one national platform and puts local crews on the trucks. You book with Junk Koala and get Junk Koala standards, support and pricing structure. The people who arrive know your market.
Importantly, this is not a lead marketplace. Your details aren’t sold to three haulers who then compete for your call. You are a Junk Koala customer, and the crew is accountable to Junk Koala.
How we operate
Four things we hold to
Tell people the truth about the job
The price gets confirmed before anything is loaded. If the job turns out to be bigger than described, the crew says so on site and re-quotes rather than adding to the bill afterwards. If we can't take something, we say why and where it should go instead.
Send people who actually do this work
Junk removal is physical, and doing it without damaging a staircase or injuring someone takes equipment and practice. The crews are local operators who do this for a living, not whoever was available.
Sort the load rather than dumping it
A junk load is rarely one material. Separating donation-quality goods, metal, electronics and green waste is what decides whether most of it is recovered or all of it is buried. It takes longer and it is the right way to do it.
Don't claim what we haven't earned
You won't find review counts, diversion percentages or years-in-business figures on this site, because Junk Koala is new and those numbers would be invented. What's here describes how the service works, and that's it.
Responsible disposal
The load gets sorted
Most of what comes off a junk truck does not have to be buried. Appliances are largely steel. Electronics are prohibited from landfill in many states and hold recoverable materials. Clean brush and grass become mulch and compost. Furniture in good condition can go to someone who needs it.
What decides the outcome is separation, and separation has to happen while the truck is being loaded. Once a load is mixed, it is far harder and more expensive to pull apart — which is why mixed loads so often end up going to one place.
We do not publish a diversion percentage. A single national figure would not be a real number: what can be recovered depends heavily on what is in the load and what facilities exist in that market. What we will do is tell you where your load actually went if you ask.
Why Junk Koala
A national company that shows up like a local one
Booking that takes minutes
Describe the job, add photos if it helps, and pick a time. No phone tag, no waiting for someone to call back before you know what happens next.
Fair pricing, upfront
The crew confirms what is being removed and what it costs before anything goes on the truck. If the job turns out to be different from what you described, you find out then — not on the invoice.
Local crews, national standards
The people who show up are a local crew who know the market, the facilities and the routes. The booking, scheduling and support behind them run on one national system.
Residential and commercial, equally
The same operation handles a single mattress and a multi-floor office cleanout. Commercial work gets scheduling around business hours, quotes that survive an approval process, and invoicing that fits accounts payable.
Same-day and next-day service
Most jobs do not need to wait. Same-day and next-day slots are available, the crew arrives inside the window you picked, and if anything moves you hear it from us before it happens rather than after.
Eco-friendly disposal
Loads are sorted so donatable goods, metal, electronics and green waste go where they should. Refrigerant appliances go to certified recovery. Hazardous materials get flagged and left, not quietly loaded.
