We're opening our first markets

Junk Koala is expanding into new markets. We don't list locations we aren't actually operating in, so this page will fill in as crews come online — starting with the ZIP codes people ask about most.

How it works

One brand, local crews

Junk Koala is built as a national company that operates through local crews rather than a directory that hands your details to whoever is nearest. When you book, you are booking with Junk Koala — the same booking system, the same standards and the same support team, wherever you are.

What is local is the crew, the truck and the knowledge of which facilities in that market take what. Disposal costs, recycling infrastructure and permitted working hours differ from metro to metro, and that is exactly the kind of thing a local team knows and a national call center does not.

As markets open, each one gets its own page here with its service area, local contact details and the services offered there. Until a market is genuinely operating, it will not appear on this page.

Service areas

What a Junk Koala service area is

Coverage is drawn around where a crew can reach you and get back to a disposal facility in the same run. Here is what that means in practice.

It is drawn by ZIP code, not by city name

Metro boundaries and postal boundaries disagree constantly. A suburb that shares a city name may sit outside a crew's range, and a town nobody associates with the metro may sit comfortably inside it. The ZIP check is the answer, not the address's city line.

Disposal decides the edges

A crew has to reach the job, load it, and get to a facility that accepts what is on the truck. Where the nearest transfer station, recycler or green-waste site sits is what really sets the boundary — which is why coverage is rarely a neat circle.

Just outside is worth asking about

If your ZIP falls close to a service area, larger jobs are often still workable because the travel is spread across more volume. A single-item pickup forty minutes out usually is not. Send the details and you will get a straight yes or no.

Commercial reach is wider

Multi-site and recurring work is coordinated centrally, so a portfolio spanning several metros is handled as one arrangement even when individual properties sit in different crews' areas.

New markets open with a real crew

A market goes live when there is a crew, a truck and disposal arrangements in place — not when the page is written. That is why this list is short and why nothing appears on it early.

Your ZIP tells us where to open next

Every check against an uncovered ZIP is recorded. Demand in one postal area is the clearest signal available for where a crew should go next, so the check is useful even when the answer is no.
