Terms of Use

The terms that apply to your use of this website, and what it does and does not do while Junk Koala brings its booking systems online.

This document should be reviewed by counsel before launch. It has not been reviewed against the law of your governing jurisdiction, and it deliberately omits a governing-law and dispute resolution clause, which needs to name a real operating entity and venue.

01Acceptance of these terms

These terms govern your use of junkkoala.com (the "website"), operated by Junk Koala. By using the website, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

These terms cover the website only. When Junk Koala accepts a job, the service itself will be governed by a separate customer agreement provided at the time of booking, which will address scheduling, cancellation, pricing, property and liability.

02What this website currently does

This website provides information about Junk Koala services and lets you submit enquiries, quote requests and booking requests.

It does not currently create bookings, generate binding quotes, take payment, or provide customer accounts. Those systems are being brought online, and until they are, a request submitted here is a request to be contacted rather than a confirmed appointment.

Nothing on this website constitutes an offer capable of acceptance, and no contract for services is formed by submitting a form.

03Requests and quotes

Any pricing information described on this website explains how junk removal is generally priced. It is not a quotation, and it does not commit Junk Koala to a price.

A quote is given for a specific job based on the information you provide. If the job differs materially from what was described — more volume, heavier material, more difficult access, additional items — the crew will confirm a revised price with you on site before work begins, and you may decline at that point.

Availability depends on whether a Junk Koala team operates in your area and on crew capacity. Submitting a request does not guarantee that we can serve you.

04Accuracy of information

We take care to keep this website accurate, but content is provided for general information.

Guidance on disposal, recycling, restricted materials and regulatory requirements is general in nature. Rules genuinely differ between states, counties and municipalities, and they change. Confirm requirements that matter to you with your local authority or a qualified professional.

Nothing on this website is legal, environmental, financial or engineering advice.

05Restricted and prohibited materials

Junk Koala cannot accept hazardous or regulated materials. These include, without limitation:

  • Paints, solvents, adhesives and chemicals
  • Fuels, oils, propane and compressed gas cylinders
  • Asbestos-containing materials and lead paint debris
  • Biological, medical and sharps waste
  • Explosives, ammunition, fireworks and radioactive material
  • Vehicle and lithium-ion batteries, and fluorescent tubes

You are responsible for identifying such materials and keeping them out of any load presented for removal. Crews may refuse to remove any item they reasonably believe to be restricted, unsafe, or something you are not entitled to dispose of.

06Your authority to dispose of items

By requesting removal, you confirm that you own the items or are otherwise authorised to have them disposed of.

This matters particularly for estate, rental, foreclosure and real estate work, where notice periods, storage obligations or third-party consents may apply under state or local law. Meeting those obligations is your responsibility, not the crew's.

Removal is permanent. Please check drawers, cabinets, storage furniture and boxes before a crew arrives — items left inside furniture leave with it.

07Acceptable use of the website

You agree not to:

  • Submit false, misleading or automated form submissions
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website or any connected system
  • Interfere with the operation or security of the website
  • Copy or reproduce substantial parts of the website for commercial use without permission
  • Use the website for any unlawful purpose

08Intellectual property

The Junk Koala name, logo, truck mark, and the text, images and design of this website are owned by Junk Koala or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property law.

You may view and print pages for your own use in evaluating or arranging services. You may not otherwise reproduce, republish or use them commercially without written permission.

10Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The website is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and we do not warrant that the website will be uninterrupted or error-free.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Junk Koala will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of this website.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

11Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the website and the Junk Koala platform develop, particularly when booking, accounts and payment processing go live.

Changes take effect when posted, and the revision date at the top of this page will be updated. Continuing to use the website after a change means you accept the revised terms.

12Contacting us

Questions about these terms can be sent through the contact form on this website. Junk Koala is establishing its national office contact details alongside its first markets and will publish them here once available.
